These Golden Horse (金馬牌) jeans are genuine deadstock, never worn and still retaining their original factory tag. Produced in the late 1970s to early 1980s, they represent one of the earliest waves of Chinese denim made for both domestic workwear use and limited export.

Historical Context

These jeans pre-date the global export boom of the 1980s–90s and reflect an industrial aesthetic closer to 1950s workwear — straightforward, rugged, and built to last. Surviving examples in deadstock condition are exceptionally scarce.
